Who we are

This website belongs to Rafting Center Albania, a rafting, kayaking and tubing centre on the Vjosa River near Përmet, Albania. We decide how the personal details described here are used.

What we receive and why

Booking requests. The booking form on this website does not send anything to us or save anything on our server. When you press the button, it writes a message on your own device and opens WhatsApp. We only receive the message if you choose to send it. It contains what you typed: the experience, date, number of people, whether you need a pickup, your name and any notes, such as children's ages. WhatsApp also shows us your phone number and profile name.

Messages, calls and emails. When you contact us, we receive your contact details and whatever you choose to tell us.

We use these details only to answer you, check availability, arrange and run your trip, and deal with any follow-up questions. We do not use them for advertising and we do not sell them.

Trip photos and videos

We take photos and videos during trips and share them with your group for free. Some of them may appear on this website or our social media. If you would rather not appear in a photo we publish, tell us and we will remove it.

This website

• We do not set cookies and we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
• Like every website, our hosting provider and Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site, process technical data such as your IP address and browser type. They need it to show you the pages and to block attacks.
• Fonts on this website load from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers.
• Links to WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Google Maps take you to those services. Their own privacy policies apply there.

Who else sees your details

Only the services we need to talk to you and run this website: WhatsApp (Meta) for messages, our email provider for emails, and our website host and Cloudflare for the site itself. We do not pass your details to anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep them

We keep booking messages and emails only as long as we need them to arrange your trip and answer follow-up questions, or as long as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal details we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete them. You can also object to how we use them. Write to [email protected] and we will reply as soon as we can.

If you are unhappy with how we handled your details, you can complain to Albania's Information and Data Protection Commissioner or, if you live in the EU, to the data protection authority in your country.
